10/3/04 -- Iron Online version 3.0 Launch (7:30 AM) (Posted By - TheIronman)

Hello, and welcome to the relaunch of Iron Online. IO was created almost two years ago after the launch of NBA 2k3 for the Xbox console. NBA 2k3 was a very popular online basketball game for the Xbox console. However, it was plagued by many problems in both online play and in actual gameplay. In the early days of Xbox Live as a beta tester, players were able to manipulate the rankings systems of Xbox Live by various forms of cheating known as plug pulling. Players were able to give you a loss and a win at will that did this act. Iron Online was launched as a Tripod website then at that time to showcase these players for the trash they were. Players were also able to pause there online game verse other gamers and simply walk away from there Xbox, leaving there console on all night. By using digital screenshots with my Kodak camera of the leaderboards showing gamers "miraculously" winning 50 games in one day on Xbox Live -- we started the original blacklist for NBA 2k3.

Iron Online was created by the gamer, for the gamer. We are looking out for you. Within a couple of weeks of the blacklist creation, we received thousands of hits and became the most popular website to do with NBA 2k3 involving online play through Xbox Live.

Shortly thereafter, Iron Online version 2.0 was launched. Instead of just NBA 2k3, we showcased cheaters on all of the 2k series games. It was our goal to ensure legit gamers would be free of the morons who wasted OUR free time by pausing and plug pulling. Whether it'd be NBA 2k3, NFL 2k3, or NHL 2k3 -- Iron Online tried as best as it could to make sure your gaming experience was the best it could be.

We also offered our NBA 2k3 ladder. Instead of the standard Pro ranked mode with its pausers, plug pullers, and glitch abusers -- we kept the cheaters out. We played on the All-Star difficulty with six minute quarters. We made slight gameplay slider adjustments that were responsible for over 50 gamertags within the first few week signed up participating realistic simulation online basketball. Most of all, this made NBA 2k3 what it should've been all along -- fun.

Iron Online version 2.0 also offered unmatched game reviews and previews from the true gamers perspective. I am a hardcore gamer, unmatched by very few. I love games. I own almost every console from the NES up. I've competed in various PC gaming tournaments from World Cyber Games in Starcraft: Brood War to iGames Tournaments where I came in third place playing Empires: Dawn of the Modern World losing only to RTS legend Pillars and also beta tester of that very same game.

With the addition of these articles to our site when we moved to our old domain, we received traffic by the tens of thousands... daily.

And so we return to cyberspace, to accomplish our mission -- to offer high quality game reviews, news, and previews so the gamer will get the most bang for his or her buck. So the gamer will be able to log onto Xbox Live, look at his friends list -- and be apart of a community that isn't full of morons that take away fun from there free time. We are back to offer even more than before -- online leagues and ladders for action games, shooters, and of course what we do best -- sports. We will keep cheaters and disrespectful idiots out. We will offer a medium for legit respectful gamers to get together to play in online RPG's together.

I am also proud to announce our official opening of our ESPN NBA 2k5 Ladder.

We're back and better than ever. Welcome to Iron Online version 3.0 -- built by the gamer, for the gamer. (forums coming soon)
